When I began the design of my blog, I knew that I wanted a design that reflected a simple desire to grow and then added more colours and meaning from there. As the colour green reflects growth (Gross), I elected to use green as the colour of my blog's title. My blog's title is also in a Times New Roman serif font. Serif fonts indicate an air of formality (Digital Synopsis) and thus, an air of professionalism and sophistication. Therefore, I chose Times New Roman, the most ubiquitous serif font of all serif fonts, as the font for my blog title. I layered my blog title over a brown layer due to the fact that brown is the colour of supportiveness, indicating my desire to not only grow as a person myself, but to also help others grow and reach their full potential. The main body of my blog is a light shade of blue. Blue is a versatile colour, symbolizing intellectualism, clear thought, and focus (Colour Affects). As all of these traits will be crucial for my blog posts, I chose blue as the background colour for my blog posts. Finally, I selected brown once more as the main background color to my blog, because it was the only colour that I already used that didn't make my blog burn my eyes off.
